City Wall Defense

Building walls, connections, gates, towers, garrison, upgrades, and wall defenses.

10.1Building Walls

  1. 1Select the city wall building.
  2. 2Place the first wall segment.
  3. 3Keep placing — walls auto-connect.

10.2Wall Connections

Walls auto-generate snap points. On connection points you can build: gates, towers, wall catapults, and other defensive facilities.

10.3Wall Garrison

You can garrison archers on walls (remember to issue Hold orders) — they will shoot enemies from the wall.

10.4Wall Upgrades

Click a wall segment — the panel has an Upgrade button. Upgraded walls are sturdier.

10.5Wall Attachments & Types

Two wall materials can be built: wooden walls and rammed-earth walls. They are independent systems — built separately and cannot connect to each other.

After a wall is built, you can place wall defenses (e.g. bed crossbows) on it. Wall defenses can be rotated with the F key. All wall defenses have their own attack range. Some wall defenses require specific wall types as support.

Siege Equipment Codex

Attacker-side field siege engines — for approaching, breaching, or scaling walls. Images from in-game assets; exact stats confirmed at launch.

Mantelet Cart

Mantelet Cart

木幔车

Wheeled cart bearing a thick wooden shield (mantelet). Advances ahead of infantry to screen them from wall arrow fire while they approach the fortifications.

Bed Crossbow Cart

Bed Crossbow Cart

床弩车

A heavy bed-mounted crossbow on a wheeled chassis. Fires large bolts to suppress wall defenders and damage wooden structures at range.

Earthen Jar Cart

Earthen Jar Cart

瓦缸车

Cart carrying earthen jars — used to fill moats and breaches with rubble, smoothing the path for assault troops and siege towers.

Siege Tower (Lin Che)

Siege Tower (Lin Che)

临车

Tall multi-story mobile tower on wheels. Rolled against the wall to deploy troops directly onto the parapet from above, bypassing the gate.

Battering Ram (Chong Che)

Battering Ram (Chong Che)

冲车

Wheeled vehicle suspending a heavy timber ram. Used to batter gates and crack rammed-earth wall sections through repeated impact.

Scaling Ladder Cart

Scaling Ladder Cart

云梯车

Cart carrying an extendable cloud ladder. Raised against the wall to let infantry storm the parapet — faster to deploy than a siege tower but offers no protection during ascent.
